The room was small but comfortable, cozy and had everything we could need. The building was old but updated and well cared for. The history and architecture is still present. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for our visit to the Newport theater. We also enjoyed the thrift stores, record stores and nearby restaurants, and the diversity of people we met and talked with. My husband and I plan weekend getaways to different parts of the city whenever we can, we both had grown up visiting the Alley and nearby stores, but had never stayed in the area. Sadly, the Alley is gone (only to be replaced by a boycotted Target store). Our one rule for these getaways is to find unique, family owned restaurants. We do not eat at franchises or restaurants we have at home. It adds to the adventure and feel for the neighborhood. This area did not disappoint and we had a very pleasant and relaxing trip.

The location was great as we were visiting Clark Street Christmas bars! There are also many restaurants and everything you could need within walking distance. Check in was easy and there is an elevator. There was 24 hour coffee in the lobby and a microwave. There were 2 refrigerators in the King Suite...one as a very affordable mini bar and another for leftovers from Chicago deep dish leftovers! (delivered) The hotel was directly next to the train, but train noise was not an issue. (We did check and the train to ORD was 1hr. and 21 mins.) The rooms are heated by radiators, which work perfectly and the air conditioning is in the wall and controlled by the room occupant. The bathroom/shower was newly remodeled and loved the bright light! The bed was pillow top and super comfortable! There was parking available but we used spot hero easily.

We needed a hotel for 2 nights near the Belmont station as we were visiting some relatives. We booked City Suites with moderate expectations considering it is an old building and next to a busy station.. The property far exceeded our expectations. The place was very neat and well maintained. the room was very spacious and the beds were excellent. The night manager was most helpful, helped us with our bags, made sure everything was well set in our room and also made a fresh pot of coffee for us. Only one issue at the hotel - the occupants in the room above us kept moving around all night with heavy footsteps that was so annoying.

Great location on Belmont, right next to the train station for Brown and Red Lines. Also close to Wrigley Field, Lakeshore Park and plenty of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, etc in the vicinity. The hotel has a great vibe. The staff obviously take a pride in their work and are both helpful and courteous. Hot coffee always available in the lobby helped get each day off to a flying start

This is not a fancy hotel, but it is very clean, the bed was really comfortable and it is a great location steps away from the Red Line Belmont Stop. The staff was friendly and accommodating. You do hear some muffled "urban sounds", but the walls are thick plaster we did not find this a problem for our sleep. They do not serve food, but I appreciated the 24 hour coffee availability.
